The Safe Harbor Message

Safe Harbor has been dedicated to rescuing and saving thousands of abused, neglected, sick, injured andabandoned animals since 1985. Our charitable organization operates one of the only true no-kill animalshelters in South Florida as well as a low cost veterinarian hospital that specializes in spay/neuter. Wehave always believed that by reducing the overpopulation of unwanted animals in our community wewill be reducing the number of animals being destroyed in area shelters as well. Working in the trenchesof animal welfare has rewards and setbacks. It is extremely stressful dealing with the roller-coaster ofemotions that come with operating a charitable animal hospital and non-kill shelter. However, there isnothing like that magical moment when one of our rescued pets finally walks out the door with theirnew family.
The work we perform at Safe Harbor for the animals is nothing less than a labor of love and devotion.We exist not because we have to, but because we want to. Our commitment to our mission as well ascredibility in this community for the past twenty-six years remains strong. We are not a governmentfunded agency and therefore must rely on your donations and support to keep our dream alive. We arethe ONLY animal organization in the North County area. If it were not for Safe Harbor and your financialsupport, there wouldn't be anyone here for the community's pets! There would be no help for theabused, neglected, sick, injured, lost or stray animals in North Palm Beach County!
